INTRODUCTION
Training is the assimilation of what we do, hear, see or experience that alters or improves our knowledge, skills and attitudes .Training begins in the classroom where students are introduced to soft skills and their relevance at the workplace. Students are then oriented towards the industry through corporate presentations, sector analysis and interaction with industry experts. The next step in the grooming process is On- the-Job-Training where student get hands–on experience in a real work environment. Through this entire process, the student develops confidence and is more career focused.


As part of the curriculum in Industry Integrated Program, the student is required to undergo On-the-Job-Training in organizations. The concept is that by the time the students completes his MBA/BBA, he will be accustomed to the corporate world and ready for a higher position. By way of the training process, students are assured of good work experience as well as a successful career. The effectiveness of the training program is evident from the excellent placement opportunities which the student gets from the corporate world.


Procedure adopted for OJT
Companies are invited to NIAM campus by Career Development Center. The details of the students are sent to the companies as per their requirement. The procedure is as follows:

1.CDC is in regular touch with the students to understand their Functional Specialization and Preferred Sector.

2.Students are required to submit their resume (Hard & Soft Copy) to CDC.

3.After figuring out their specific Specialization & Sectors, it is matched with the OJT requirement in Companies.

4.The Company conducts Test / Group Discussion/Personal Interview to short list the interested students.

5.In-House Training is conducted for students before attending the Interview.

6.Interview is conducted at the Company or Corporate are invited to the Campus.

7.The short listed students are then interviewed for final selection by the company.

8.Finally the selected students are placed in the Company.

9.Students are supposed to keep the record of their daily activities in the Training Dairy issued to them and get it signed from their reporting authority in the company and from Training Officer on a weekly basis.

10.Students are to submit the Training Reports based on the training undergone by them in the Company as per deadlines given.
