Yoga & Meditation
NIAM focuses on promoting and imparting yoga and meditation classes as a part of our co-curricular activities. The idea and focus is to help the students distress their mind and body while coping up with their stressful and tiring routine. We believe that Yoga is a way of living whose aim is to achieve ‘a healthy mind in a healthy body’.
Human is a physical, mental and spiritual being; yoga helps promote a balanced development of all the three. Yogic exercises recharge the body with cosmic energy and facilitate:
• Attainment of perfect equilibrium and harmony
• Promotes self- healing.
• Removes negative blocks from the mind and toxins from the body
• Enhances Personal power
• Increases self-awareness
• Helps in attention focus and concentration, especially important for students
• Reduces stress and tension in the physical body by activating the parasympathetic nervous system
The students feel rejuvenated and energized. This practice of yoga benefits the students in balancing their diverse activities of work. |
